SURATUL KAFIROON
Suratul-Kafiroon is chapter 109 of the Holy Qur’an. Suratul Kafiroon contains six verses. It is a Makkan surah.
It states the response of the Prophet (SAW) to the invitation of unbelievers.
It says Muslims should never compromise the worship of Allah (SAW) with the unbelievers.
It also says that Muslims should live in peace with other non¬-Muslims.
It also teaches Muslims how to worship.
It encourages unbelievers in Allah (SAW) to worship according to their own religion.
It also teaches that religion does not cause division among people.
The surah can be recited in salat and in other supplication.
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
قُلۡ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ لَآ أَعۡبُدُ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدٞ مَّا عَبَدتُّمۡ وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ لَكُمۡ دِينُكُمۡ وَلِيَ دِينِ
Transliteration of Suratun-Kafiroon
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
Qul yaa-ai yuhal kaafiroon
Laa a’budu ma t’abudoon
Wa laa antum ‘aabidoona maa a’bud
Wa laa ana ‘abidum maa ‘abattum
Wa laa antum ‘aabidoona ma a’bud
Lakum deenukum wa liya deen.
Translation of Chapter of the Unbelievers (Qur’an 109)
In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
1. Say: (O Muhammad to these Mushrikun and Kafiroon) “O Al-Kafiroon (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, in His Angels, in His Books, in His Messengers, in the Day of Resurrection, and in Al-Qadar)”.
2. I worship not that which you worship,
3. Nor will you worship that which I worship.
4. And I shall not worship that which you are worshipping.
5. Nor will you worship that which I worship.
6. To you be your religion, and to me my religion (Islamic Monotheism).”
