Markazul Uluum Walhikmah

Markazul-‘Uluum Wal-Hikmah Remote Study is a hybrid learning platform offering both online and offline Islamic education established on March 1, 2023, to academically equip beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners of Arabic.

A major challenge facing Arabic learners in Nigeria is that most of the Arabic textbooks available in bookstores are written entirely in classical Arabic, even though Nigeria is not an Arabic-speaking country. This language barrier is one of the key obstacles preventing many students from gaining access to sound and quality Islamic education.

To address this challenge, Markazul-‘Uluum Wal-Hikmah Remote Study was founded with the vision of making basic Islamic knowledge and Arabic studies more accessible and inclusive for the Muslim Ummah—especially through our publications. Indeed, Islam cannot be practiced correctly without knowledge.

In recognition of the importance of knowledge, the first verse revealed to our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) was “Iqra’”—which means “Read”, because reading leads to understanding, and understanding is the gateway to knowledge acquisition.

We strongly advise our learners not to move on to the next lesson until they have fully mastered the current one.
