Glorious books

Glorious books are books containing messages sent down by Allah for the guidance of mankind through His prophets. It is also known as divine or holy book. It is compulsory upon every believer to belief in the glorious books because it is the third articles of faith in Islam. The articles of faith are:

  1. Belief in Allah 
  2. Belief in the Angels 
  3. Belief in the glorious books
  4. Belief in the Prophets/messengers
  5. Belief in the Day of Judgment 
  6. Belief in predestination, good or bad 

The divine message of Allah has been compiled in the form of books. These books are called scriptures. The glorious books (scriptures) are:

  1. Suhuf was revealed to the prophet Ibrahim (A.S)
  2. Tawrah was revealed to the prophet Musa (A.S)
  3. Zabur was revealed to the prophet Dawud (A.S)
  4. Injil was revealed to the prophet Isa (A.S)
  5. Quran was revealed to the prophet Muhammad (SAW). Quran is the last of the glorious books to be sent to mankind. The Quran is the only one of the glorious books that still exists in its original forms. It contains all the important points in all the previous revealed books. The Quran will still exist till the last day. It is the greatest miracle of the prophet Muhammad (SAW).
